Spirals and Swirls Bracelet

by zoraida
(patchogue, ny)

I wanted to create an all metal bracelet of copper and brass that would look as if the wire was spinning in different directions.

I had made these cage-like, saucer beads in brass with copper centers earlier as well as the spirals, Egyptian coil clasps and jump rings.

Putting them all together, I came up with this bracelet which I dipped in Liver of Sulphur to finish.

I liked the spinning effect of the wire.

Mesmerizing
by: Rena

I found myself mesmerized looking at these images. The spiraling, swirling wire patterns are powerful, elemental, and stunning on this bracelet.

I always love seeing your wire explorations, Zoraida - and this one is incredible.

The liver of sulfur finish was the perfect touch to really bring out the spiraling patterns.

Thanks Rena

Thanks so much Rena. You're so good for my self confidence.

Elemental
by: SterlingCrystal

Rena, I think that is the perfect description for this piece - elemental. I see the wind in the swirls and earth in the colour. Zoraida, I also felt this with your Sky on a Chain Necklace, where the turquoise reminded me of a big pool of water.

I think you have captured an ancient, oriental feel with these pieces.

Inspiring

I must say, I don't work with copper but I truly see its appeal; especially with your design. It's moving, stirring and all that I think jewelry should aspire to. I feel the emotion and care you put into this work. Best to you.
