Stunning Onyx

I found a beading shop close by which sells pewter beads and findings. She doesn't stock much gemstones so I'm never in that section. This particular day I passed and an Onyx was just hanging there looking as if it was meant just for me ;-)

It has 2 cuts on either side and horizontal cuts on the top and bottom, it really is beatiful. What I found even more attractive is that is has not been polished.

I strung the Onxy with a black square czech crystals and it blended beautifully with Turquoise beads. The centre Onyx is delicately wire wrapped with sterling siver wire and 3 Turquoise beads on the front.

I love the constrasts these stones provide for the eye.
