The Jabberwocky - Alice in Wonderland Inspired Necklace

Cameo, chain, and poetry

Cameo, chain, and poetry

This piece is made from gold-tone chain, red glass beads, 1 gold glass pearl, and an amazing red and cream skull and dragon cameo.

I put this piece together because I was inspired by Lewis Carroll's poem, The Jabberwocky.

I wanted to create something that expressed what I saw in my mind when I read that poem.

I've just started working with cameos but I love them!

I love the elegance and romance they bring to jewelry, and I love how I can get them in such variety.

I memorized "Jabberwocky" when I was in grade school, and still remember the all the wonderfully bizarre wording!

I love your dragon jabberwocky, and your beautifully sparing use of the powerful red beads on the chain.

Thank you for sharing this great piece here!
