These brooches were made for my pearls4us.com collection.
"Three Crystals" (6cm) and "Rose" (3.5x4cm) are made from sewn Czech glass beads, incorporated three glass crystals in the first brooch and acrylic resin cameo in the second.
As a base I used high quality 3mm felt (quite dense) and natural leather for back side.
Even though there is a common suggestion to use cardboard (as inter-layer) I did not follow this tip. As result, the structure becomes a bit flexible and sturdy enough to feel the "solidness" of the craft.
The third brooch - a pin brooch "Swarovski Flower" (3cm) I made combining two types and colours of Swarovski crystals and Taho glass beads. Sparkling reflection of austrian crystals were complimentary matching royal bronze shine of japanese beads.
Putting these materials in a simple (orientally minimalistic) form and net pallet of three colours gave the brooch its vivid elegance.
