Time Takes Flight - Steampunk Necklace

Steampunk sculpture pendant

Steampunk sculpture pendant

With one of my supply orders, I received a number of watch movement plates with no gears, cogs, winders or faces.

I was at a loss as to what to do with them.

I found that they were a fantastic fit for many of my settings . . . but looked somehow . . . sad and lonely.

So I assembled a collection of small vintage watch faces, gears, crystals, tiny cabochons, charms and hardware and added pieces/parts to the plate until my first steampunk sculpture pendant had been born!

This line continues to be one of my favourites as each pendant is organic and seems to create itself!

Timepieces, gears, and cogs, oh my! :o)

Very nice piece, and I love your title for it!

Regarding how each piece seems to create itself - Steampunk items are usually gadget / invention type things, so they probably *can* build and repair themselves! ;o)

I like the asymmetry in this piece, and the bird is a lovely touch.

Thank you for sharing this Steampunk creation here!

GORGEOUS!
