Titanium Jewelry

Titanium jewelry is made from a strong, lustrous, silvery-gray metal that's tarnish resistant.

Pure titanium is as strong as steel, but much lighter weight.

It's also hypoallergenic, so it's a good choice for pieces that will be worn by someone with metal allergies.

Jewelry artists can find titanium in chains, rings, wristwatch heads, bracelets, jump rings for chain maille projects, and piercing jewelry.

However, it can be difficult to work with because it's the hardest known natural metal.

It could damage your regular jewelry tools.

Titanium can't be soldered, but it can be engraved.

It can be heat oxidized to give the surface an intense color - usually a shade of blue, purple, or black.

Despite its hardness and strength, the surface of titanium is vulnerable to being scratched.
