Hand Forged Copper Wire Ring with Lapis Bead

Copper wire serves as a frame for the iridescent seed beads and genuine blue stone.

*Gemstone: Natural Lapis
*Metal: Copper Wire, 18 and 22 ga
*Size: adjustable.

I love working with wire because it makes me feel like a kid again.

Yes, it dates me , but when I was little I played with old rotary phone wires and made rings out of them.

I hope my technique has improved!!

I love your idea for adding the seed beads in this design, all the way down the ring. And the copper is a nice counterpoint to the blue focal bead.

My first handmade jewelry pieces were the colored phone-wire rings, arm-bands, and barefoot sandals my best friend and I made in about fourth grade.

(Her brother somehow had a huge stash of these wires - we didn't ask how he acquired them!)
