Toundra necklace

by KarolPAYET
(REUNION ISLAND)

I haven't counted hours and hours to embroider this amazing necklace like a fairy river of hundreds flowers and pearls made of:

-3 daffodils flowers handmade by me in polymer clay

-5 fushia bell flowers handmade by me in polymer clay

-8 czech glass bell flowers in jade colour

-1 calla lily flower handmade by me in polymer clay

-8 lucite leaves and some other leaves handmade by me in polymer clay

-1 glass ladybug trying to hide among flowers

-24 'OUCH' caused by a treachcherous and sly needle

-grey pearl emdroidered with 15/0 miyuki beads in galvanized silver colour

-a BIG touch of creative masochism

-hundred mini flowers handmade by me in polymer clay in turquoise shades, green, black, grey, yellow. They're all embroidered one by one with 11/0 and 15/0 miyuki beads.

-an adorable loving 5 years old little boy searching for lost beads under my desk and allways rewarded with a sweet kiss...

The chain, lobster and drop at the end are made of silver tone.

The necklace is very soft and fully recovered with a italian pebble leather on the back. For a great finish, the necklace is embroidered with silver miyuki beads all around.

Pretty neat

It's a very lovely piece but given all that work, why not use sterling (or Argentium) silver findings?

Spectacular

Your necklace is spectacular! How long did it take you to make it? I agree with the sterling silver comments. This is just gorgeous. You need to send it to one of the beading magazines to be showcased. Or enter it into one of the contests or state fairs. You would win hands down.

WOW, Karol - what an incredible piece. Your attention to the tiniest detail is so inspiring. And I love the colors in this field flowers.

I can just picture your adorable little boy hunting up all the escaped beads - it's part of the love that went into this amazing necklace.
