Tribal Black & White Zebra Striped Double Strand Necklace.

by Maryanne Murphy
(Atlanta, Ga.)

I love dressing is crisp black and white especially in the summer time.

When I saw these stones I just had to have them because of their crisp black and white stripping. They we sold to me as "turquoise." It took me a while to find out that they are a costly man made product called "Calsilica."

The necklace measures a comfortable 21" at its longest point. I hand selected 14 13mm x 18mm oval Calsilica for pattern and color rhythm. Thirty-six 8mm and 25 6mm round black Agates combined with 35 black 4mm Swarovski crystal disc completes the composition of this necklace.

Enhancing the design are two .925 sterling silver plate ovals and .925 sterling silver plate chain. The closure on this necklace is a pewter toggle.

This is just a great necklace to pull a summer black and white outfit together.

I too agree that black and white is sometimes the way to go. This does truly tie together your black and white ensemble. Great piece and beautiful stones.

Easy Summer Dressing

Thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate your kind words about the stones and the necklace.

I didn't think I was alone in choosing black and white for easy summer wear-ability!

Calsilica

I understand that calsilica is an agglomeration of several natural and man-made materials including calcite and man-made pigments. The results are always beautiful and your necklace is a great piece, congratulations!
