I had some very simple bullseye canes left over from a previous project and a wooden bangle blank crying out to be covered with polymer clay. More leftovers of black and white clay were rolled into a thin sheet to make the lining of the bangle. Then a pristine white outer layer was attached and the fun bit began.
Slices of the canes were cut and pushed onto the white surface in organic groupings, ensuring each barnacle had a hollowed center. Once the barnacles were attached, the whole piece was then cured. I used a permanent marker to color the black outlines and make the dalmatian-like spots, and I finished it with a polymer varnish.
I just love black and white and this bangle makes me happy!
